The Cigar Shop: The Last Frontier of Fifties Glamour

Let’s face it; in today’s world we have no time for facets of a luxury lifestyle. Even though smoking a cigar isn’t a back account buster, it takes time. And time is money in this day and age. Whether we live a life of luxury or not, we are always looking for ways to get things done faster, buy gadgets that do more, and are interested in getting places faster and more efficiently than ever before. Gone are the days where men would take a time out for a cigar and a glass of brandy and talk about the day, or just to unwind.

Back in the 1950’s, cigar shops –previously dubbed boys clubs- were social hangouts, reserved for a strictly men only audience. But back then; where social segregation kept women out of such establishments, cigar shops can be just the ticket for an outside-the-box social event or networking meeting. No that the stigma has been removed, cigar shops are still intriguing and are an excellent forum for putting the “slow down” back into life by taking time to enjoy smoking or swirling a cigar.

Depending on who you are, you may or may not like the idea of smoking or swirling cigar smoke. Especially women may not like it, but it is quite an empowering feeling when you “light one up” in the presence of men. Sexism aside, cigar shops have evolved from a seedy smoke shop to an almost underground empire that may just be the next big thing.

Have you heard of joints like The Nashville Cigar Club or Esquire Cigar in the Tri-state area? You may not have heard of them yes, but establishments like these have put the glamour back into an after-work meeting. Guys and gals alike can put on their best, or go out in their work attire, mingling and enjoying life one slower minute at a time. Even if you don’t wish to channel Jim Dandy circa 1878 or your inner flapper, stepping inside a modern day cigar shop is like stepping back in time and enjoying life slowly.

Since tradition is lost on many people, the cigar shop may be on of the last frontier for good old fashion social interaction. Instead of free wi-fi that leads to web surfing or incessantly checking email, you can rest assured that no annoying coffee grinders or espresso machines will be whirring in the background. The cigar shop may just be the next Starbucks.

Luckily, finding information from a reputable source about dominican cigar kirkwood just got easier!
